looking for more heaven on earth? me too.

I used to think the only way to make any progress in life whether it be spiritual, physical, in my work or anywhere else was to hustle. In order to “over-achieve” you had to be willing to “over-work.” I was a gal who never stopped striving. But one day, a friend asked me, “What would your life look like to lead and live without striving.”

I didn’t have the answer. So I took 18 months away from everything that felt routine to me to figure it out. Here are a few things I discovered…

Jesus knew. His life. His pace. His pattern. They were the answer.

We can make slower and simpler living a priority and not fall behind what we were sent here to do. We can let go of minute-to-minute schedules and routines and embrace rhythms of rest and renewal and still thrive. We can slow down and simplify our life and still find prosperity. We can do things just for the joy of them.

And when we commit to spending more time with the Savior and following His pace the more He can guide our path to the peace we are all looking for. Let’s not just say we want to follow the Savior’s path, let’s actually do that in our average, everyday, latter day lives.
